Stars, Spurs & Illusions: The Art of Texas Magic

From Cocktail Hour through to the After-Party, the night will be truly magical. Our featured magician, Scott Hollingsworth, has been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years with magic. He has perfected many original creations and improved on old standards with ingenious adaptations. He was a pioneer in restaurant magic and wrote the first book on that subject, Cashing in with Close-Up.

During his 27 years as resident magician and Entertainment Director at Magic Island, Houston’s 5-star dinner theater, he performed and perfected routines during literally tens of thousands of shows. In addition to his original book on restaurant magic, Scott has written dozens of other books and routines. His credentials include performing on cruise ships, lecturing for magic clubs around the world, repeat appearances at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, and winning numerous awards from his peers.

But the real magic happens offstage: every event ticket purchased and every donation made (through our site or the online silent auction will directly fund scholarships to help students pursue their dreams in the arts. Whether you love a good magic trick or sleight of hand, are a music lover, or simply looking to make a difference, this event promises an evening of entertainment and inspiration.

Our website platform is provided by Betterworld.org.  As a non-profit organization, they will ask for a donation in support of the services they provide to non-profit organizations like ours.  This is completely voluntary.  Since betterworld.org is also a nonprofit organization, their fees will also be tax-deductible should you choose to cover some or all of their suggested fees.
